Ingredients
- Butter or cooking spray (for waffle maker)
- 4 frozen croissants (from 1 package), thawed
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar or brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat a nonstick waffle maker (standard size, 7-inch grid recommended) to medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
- Separate croissant dough into individual portions. Gently roll or flatten slightly to ensure even cooking.
- Lightly sprinkle sugar over both sides of each piece of dough.
- Place 1 piece of dough on the center of the waffle maker, and close the lid. Cook for 2–3 minutes, until golden brown, crispy, and flaky.
- Transfer the croffle to a wire rack or plate, and allow it to set for 1–2 minutes to maintain its crispiness. Repeat cooking process with remaining dough.
- Garnish with your toppings of choice. Serve warm.
- Enjoy!
