Ingredients
- 8 lasagna noodles
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pound spicy Italian sausage
- ½ pound ground beef
- ¼ cup diced jalapeños
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon (optional)
- ¼ cup tomato paste
- 1 cup vodka
- 1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
- 3 cups chicken broth
- ½ cup diced sausage
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Break apart your lasagna noodles into thirds, then boil and cook per package instructions.
- In a large pot over medium-high heat, add the olive oil, onion, and garlic. Cook, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes, or until fragrant.
- Add the Italian sausage and ground beef. Cook, using a wooden spoon to crush into bite-sized pieces, about 4 minutes, or until browned.
- Add the jalapeños, then sprinkle on the salt, black pepper, sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, and optionally, chicken bouillon. Mix to combine.
- Add the tomato paste, stirring to ensure everything is combined, then add the vodka.
- Let the vodka cook out, stirring occasionally, for 2-3 minutes, or until the liquid has reduced by one third. Add the crushed tomatoes, broth, and diced sausage. Mix to combine, and let simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream, cooked noodles, and ¼ cup grated Parmesan. Top and serve with garnishes!
- Enjoy!
